ROCKLIN, CA — Republican State Senate candidate Kevin Kiley received two key endorsements today from former State Legislators who represented large portions of the 1st Senate District.
Endorsing Kiley are former 1st District Senator Tim Leslie and former 5th District Assemblyman Roger Niello.
“I am very grateful to receive the endorsements of Tim Leslie and Roger Niello, who have represented this District in the past and who are very well respected by voters here,” said Kiley.
Tim Leslie served in the State Legislature from 1986 to 2006, and as the Senator for the 1st District from 1991 to 2000. Niello served in the Assembly from 2004 to 2010.
When the votes are finished being counted, Kiley is expected to be the top vote-getter in the 1st Senate District Primary which took place on Tuesday March 26 and the favorite heading into the run-off. Kiley is a small businessman, co-owner of a local cattle company, and former Deputy Attorney General. He currently serves in the State Assembly, representing the 6th District.
