Pierson joins Law Enforcement Leaders in Sacramento and Placer counties in supporting Kiley
Rocklin, CA – – El Dorado County District Attorney Vern Pierson has endorsed Assemblyman Kevin Kiley for State Senate in the March 26 First District Special Election.
The popular El Dorado D.A. joins Sacramento County District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert, Sacramento County Sheriff Scott Jones, Placer County District Attorney Scott Owens, Placer County Sheriff Devon Bell, former Sacramento County Sheriff John McGinness, and former Placer County Sheriff Ed Bonner in supporting Kiley, a former Deputy Attorney General and Criminal Prosecutor.
“I am deeply honored to have the support of our local public safety leaders who have proven their commitment to holding criminals responsible for their actions keeping our community safe,” said Kiley.
Before his election to the State Assembly, Kiley served as a Deputy Attorney General, representing the People of California in cases involving serious felons. During his first term in the Assembly, Kiley authored legislation to combat voyeurism and strengthen legal protections for victims of sexual assault.
